Canvas and Cork is located in the Stanton Storehouse in down-town Dahlonega, just off the square. The Stanton Storehouse is on the national register of historic buildings and overlooks Hancock Park. Canvas and Cork occupies the first floor and is an inviting, eclectic space filled with original art and fine local wine. Everything from recycled glass work, pottery, jewelry and paintings in all mediums are available for purchase in 2 artists studios, and additional gallery space features the work of 12 more local artists.
Canvas and Cork also offers weekly art classes in a variety of mediums as well as private wine and paint parties and monthly Irish music jams.
Our tasting room features wines from Cavender Creek Vineyards, and includes a selection of red, white and pink wines from locally grown grapes as well as muscadine wines from Still Pond Vineyards in south Georgia for those who enjoy the sweeter side of life.
Coming Events at Canvas & Cork
Acrylic pour paint class with Lisa Pirkle. On a 12" by 12" canvas board we will do a dirty flip cup pour using acrylic paints to create movement in the paint layers. A silicone product is mixed in to produce cells that are typically round or somewhat organic shapes....
